— The kicker for this New Yorker essay “Spoiled Rotten” is “Why do kids rule the roost?” As though every Jed out there would rather be nowhere else than living the life of noon-starts at his parent’s home (also this Jed was raised/lives in Manhattan so I’m going to assume that he is a very specific rooster).
